K-12 Initiative

  • The Atlanta Science Festival envisions a community of scientifically literate citizens and a strong STEM workforce in Atlanta. That vision begins with efforts to engage our youth in STEM learning inside and outside the classroom.
  • Every year, we begin Festival season with Imagining the Future Day – a single day just before the Festival begins where we send 100 STEM professionals into classrooms across the metro region.
  • Classroom flyers and resources for teachers are available at our Educator Toolkit.
  • In addition to the Festival, Science ATL also hosts programming to develop the next generation of STEM leaders through our Chief Science Officer program and to connect STEM professionals directly to teachers to develop curricula together for a year (STEM Professional School Partnership program).
