Educator Toolkit – Atlanta Science Festival

Educator Toolkit

The Atlanta Science Festival is back March 12-26, 2022 with 100 amazing science events for curious kids and adults. While the Festival is for all community members, the specific K-12 events and resources described on this page create opportunities to engage students and teachers in connecting classroom learning to enriching experiences throughout metro Atlanta. You can help most by staying informed and spreading the word to your colleagues, students, and their families.

  1. Subscribe to our Science ATL newsletter.
  2. Help your school, after-school program, PTA group, youth group, etc. learn more about the Atlanta Science Festival by sharing our flyer (below), including a blurb in your school’s newsletter or parent email, or giving us a shout out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked In, etc – we are @AtlSciFest. We have some great digital assets you can use, and here is a sample social post:

Teen Survey!

Together with a group of teens, we are producing a teen science event series to start next fall. To ensure the events are built around teen interests and preferences, we need your help to get input from Atlanta area youth in grades 6-12! Take the survey by March 26 and be entered to win a $100 VISA gift card.

Classroom Visits

The deadline has passed to request a Classroom Visit (virtual or in-person) by a local STEM professional as part of our Imagining the Future program. The visits will take place on March 10, 2022.

2022 Atlanta Science Festival events are now available! We will have 100 amazing science events for curious kids and adults from March 12-25, plus the exciting explosive Exploration Expo in Piedmont Park on March 26.

For other science events throughout the year, see our  Community Events calendar.

Youth Ambassadors

Youth Ambassadors are teens who influence their peers and enhance access to STEM in their community! Applications are now closed.
