City Science Quest

At Georgia Tech, one of our primary goals within our undergraduate Earth and Atmospheric Sciences program is to help students be able to critically analyze science information and identify where science misconceptions exist within the “real world.” This includes within popular culture, including movies, TV shows and even video games.

In 1996, the movie Twister excited a generation to pursue meteorology as a career or hobby. However, the movie is full of incorrect interpretations of how tornadoes form, how to chase them safely and what to do if you are caught near a tornado. For your mission, complete the following:
