For ASF2026, Science ATL is debuting a new Discovery Walk through downtown Decatur that blends science and history to show how each helps inform the other. Science is all around us—often hidden in everyday places like the streets we walk and the spaces we share. On this docent-guided, family-friendly 2–3 mile walk, you’ll explore ten intriguing stops where Decatur’s history meets the science behind it, revealing how past choices, natural systems, and human innovation shape the world we see today. Come enjoy the spring weather and discover the science hiding in plain sight.
Please meet outside in front of Little Shop of Stories (133 E Court Square # A, Decatur, GA 30030).
Please note, at moments, the sidewalk is narrow and may be difficult to navigate in a wheelchair.
Tickets Release on February 25
