The Science of Cemeteries

Presented by Historic Oakland Foundation

Join the Director of Preservation from Historic Oakland Foundation on a behind-the-scenes tour of one of our greatest city spaces - the Oakland Cemetery. You'll hear all about the various man-made materials that make up the cemetery and how our team works to conserve them. We'll examine how we treat rusted iron, the impacts of acid rain, how experts go about preserving marble, and more!
Please note there is an additional session of this event on March 10th at 1:00 pm.

Tickets Release on February 25
