Celebrate STEAM - 2025 Atlanta Science Festival Launch at Georgia Tech

Kickoff the 2025 Atlanta Science Festival at Georgia Tech with a free, family-friendly open-house event at several locations across campus.

Enjoy hands-on STEAM activities, exhibits, demonstrations, opportunities to meet student researchers and learn about the research happening at Georgia Tech! See robotics, brains, biology, space, art, nanotechnology, paper, computer science, wearable tech, bioengineering, chemical engineering, systems engineering, and more!

Stop by anytime 10am-2pm for this drop-in event. After parking, find your way to the Area 4 Visitor’s Parking Lot to pick up your passport and start your galactic journey through all our STEAM activities!

We welcome people with disabilities. Georgia Tech’s campus has ramps and elevators to assist with all types of individual travel. ADA parking is available in all visitor parking lots and decks. For any further questions, please contact us .

Getting There

Parking

Option 1: Parking is available for $2/hour at the Visitors Area 5: North Campus Parking Deck on State Street. Walk to the registration tents to pick up your passport by exiting the North Campus Parking Deck and then walking towards State Street. Make a left (south) on State Street and walk towards Ferst Drive. The registration tents are across the street in the Visitor Area 4 Parking Lot .

Option 2: Visitor’s Area 12: Dalney Deck W22. Walk to the registration tents to pick up your passport by exiting the Dalney Parking Deck and then walking towards State Street. Make a right (south) on State Street and walk towards Ferst Drive. The registration tents are across the street in the Visitor Area 4 Parking Lot .

Walking

The registration tents are located in the Visitor Area 4 Parking lot at the corner of Ferst Drive and State Street.

Biking

Bike racks are located next to the entrance of the Kendeda Building off of Ferst Drive.

Transit

The closest MARTA station is Midtown MARTA (1.1 miles from registration tents). Click for walking directions from the Midtown MARTA station. The Stinger Gold Route takes visitors (you do not need a Georgia Tech ID to ride) from Midtown MARTA to campus. The closest stop is at the intersection of Ferst Drive and Atlantic Drive.
