If Atlanta is really "The City in the Forest" shouldn't we know what kind of trees surround us? Join DeKalb County's Ranger Jonah for a walk all about trees! We'll take a stroll through Mason Mill Park and learn techniques for identifying trees by their bark, leaves, flowers, and fruit. Find out to tell a Loblolly pine from other native pines! From the common water oak to the rare winged elm, come fall in love with trees at this awesome city park!
Meet Ranger Jonah at the trailhead entrance in Mason Mill park.

COVID Considerations
Because the program is 100% outdoors, we do not require masking, but ask participants to go out of their way to respect and care for each other. This means wearing a mask if you find yourself closer than 6 ft from another participant, staying in your own family group, and keeping appropriate distance from others. Hand sanitizer is available from the program leader if participants want it.
As with all ASF events, we ask you to take care of yourself and your community. Stay home if you feel ill, get vaccinated and mask up when in close proximity to others!
