Audubon Field Trip

Come for a walk with us in Piedmont Park and learn more about Georgia's resident and migrating birds. Whether you are a beginning birder or not, we are excited to have you! Note that the walk will cover approximately 3.5 miles and, as a result, may not be best for the youngest bird fans.

Please bring your own binoculars, or let us know in advance so we can bring a pair to loan you.

MEETING SPOT: We will meet by the Piedmont Park Community Center building, which also houses the Piedmont Park Conservancy. The building is right next to the Willy's Mexicana Grill. (33.7840555, -84.3785010)

PARKING: Free parking is available all throughout 10th St. right across the street from Piedmont Park, 11th St. across Piedmont's community center. The Atlanta Botanical Garden parking garage is also an option (enter from Piedmont Ave. north of the community center across from The Prado; the fee is approximately $4 for two hours). From the Gardens, walk through Piedmont Park and around Lake Clara Meer on either side until you get to the Community Center on Piedmont Ave. across from 11th St.
(Note: Do not park in the parking lot behind the Piedmont Park Community Center, the parking is reserved for the Green Market from March-November.)

ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION: The park is accessible via Marta. Take the train to the Midtown stop and walk east on 10th till you hit the park. Alternatively, bike, walk or scoot on the BeltLine, which leads right into the Park.
