Become an Archaeologist!

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Have you ever wondered how people lived in the past? Archaeologists are the detectives of science working to answer this question. Join Emory University experts for a set of activities where you can learn how to extract DNA, perform chemical analysis to discover the uses of artifacts, and put ancient objects and skeletons back together like a puzzle. Parents and kids alike can ask Emory anthropologists about their work and hear about the latest discoveries in the field.

Getting there: The Inman Park MARTA station on the blue/green rail line is closest to East Atlanta Village, but you'll need to take a bus or request a Lyft from there. Take MARTA bus 4, 32, or 74, then exit at Moreland Ave SE @ Woodland Ave SE. Head north on Moreland Ave SE toward Emerson St SE for 0.1 miles, then turn right onto Emerson St.

If driving, the parking at/around Brownwood Park is free street parking.
