Come on out to Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve
in Decatur and witness wildlife with regional experts from the Amphibian Foundation
. Become ‘citizen scientists’ and perform an amphibian ‘bioblitz’ inventory of the preserve documenting salamanders and frogs in one of the last strongholds for amphibians inside of the perimeter! Everyone and their families are encouraged to attend and bring your cell phones to upload images of what we find to iNaturalist.
Getting there: at Avondale or Arts Center MARTA stations, take bus 36 to North Decatur Road. Exit bus at Medlock Plaza at the intersection of North Decatur Road and Medlock Road. Walk north on Medlock Road to the International Community School (ICS), then turn right on Wood Trail Lane. Go through 1 stop sign, then travel another 200 yards to Preserve entrance.
Park on the street approaching the entrance to the park.
