2018 Festival Event:

Intro to Curling: Exploring the Boundary Where Granite Meets Ice

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.
You've seen that strange Winter Olympic sport with the rocks and sweeping and yelling, but do you know what's actually going on? Sign up for this 2 hour class with the Atlanta Curling Club and we'll explain everything as you learn, step-by-step, how to throw a stone and sweep it into the "house." Your instructor will teach you about the science behind the game, including why the sport is called "curling" (Hint: SCIENCE) and why they're sweeping the ice so hard.
