THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.
Worms create healthier soil which leads to a more productive vegetable or flower garden. Explore the science behind how these kings of compost break down kitchen scraps, and see how you can put them to work for you. Work with a Georgia Master Composter to create your own vermicomposting bin, complete with red wigglers. Learn how to maintain the worm bins and gather worm castings for your garden. Vermicomposting works well, whether you live in an apartment, a townhouse, or on a farm. Come prepared to get dirty!
The event will take place in the Outdoor Classroom at the Reynolds Nature Preserve. In the event of rain, the workshop will be held in the indoor classroom at the Preserve.
