Experience the oasis that is Fernbank Forest. A treasure in our own backyard, this 65-acre mixed hardwood ecosystem is the largest of its kind to be situated in a major metropolitan area. Through this two hour walk suitable for all ages, you’ll gain a better understanding of the interconnected forest habitat, the importance of native biodiversity, and the threats posed by invasive species. See first-hand the ongoing restoration efforts that will ensure this urban forest thrives for generations. Advanced registration required at 404.929.6400 and the walk is for ages 8 and up.
